I began freelance writing in 1989 and in the past I have specialized in adoption and genealogy, but I don't limit myself to these two subjects. A major project underway is the writing of a book about my own search for birth family and about establishing a relationship with birth family members. I do plan to self-publish this book.
"The Pros and Cons of Adoption Searches", National People Locator (Aug/Sep 1989) Vol.1 No. 1: pp. 2-3
"The Pros and Cons of Adoption Searches", Heritage Quest Magazine (Nov/Dec 1995) Issue #60: pp. 76-77
"The Shocking Chatsworth Train Wreck - August 10-11, 1887", Heritage Quest Magazine (Jan/Feb 2001) Vol. 17 Number 1 Issue 91: pp. 44-49
"Invaluable Adoption Search", Heritage Quest Magazine (May/June 2001) Vol. 17 Number 3 Issue 93: pp. 60-62
Reunions magazine and The Family Tree reprinted some of my work that appeared in Insight to the Adoption Triad and Quest 'N Discover, newsletters while I served as the editor and publisher (1992-1995).
I'm the editor of "Vital Statistics Entries in the Champaign Daily Gazette, 1892" (1999), an online database at Ancestry.com
